Terms of
Service

Last updated October 4, 2026

These terms cover your use of umsdigital.net and the services we provide. Using the site means you accept them. If we sign a separate written agreement or proposal with you, that document wins wherever the two disagree.

Quotes and estimates

The instant quote tool on this site gives a range, not a price. It's there to tell you roughly what a project costs before you spend time on a call. The real number depends on scope, and we confirm it in writing before any work starts and before you pay anything. Nothing on this site is a binding offer.

Projects

Who owns the work

When a project is paid in full, you own the finished work — source files, vectors, the lot. It's handed over and it's yours. Until final payment, we keep ownership of the deliverables.

Two carve-outs: we keep the rights to our own underlying tools, templates and methods, and we keep the right to show finished work in our portfolio and marketing unless you ask us in writing not to. Fonts, stock photography and third-party assets stay under their own licences, which we'll identify at handoff.

Payment

Project terms are set out in your quote. Invoices are due as stated on the invoice. We may pause work on overdue accounts, and we'll tell you before we do.

Hosting & care plan — automatic renewal terms

What it costs. $149 per month, charged every month until you cancel.

What it includes. Hosting, your domain and SSL certificate, backups, software and security updates, uptime monitoring, small text and image edits on request, and a monthly analytics report.

When you're charged. The first charge is on the day your site goes live. After that you're charged on the same date each month. This subscription renews automatically.

How to cancel. Email billing@umsdigital.net or call 909-855-4191 and say you want to cancel. No notice period, no cancellation fee, no form, and you don't have to talk to anyone to talk you out of it. Cancel at any time and it takes effect at the end of the month you've already paid for.

What happens then. Your site stays up to the end of the paid month. We hand over your files and help you move to your own hosting. You keep the site — you just take over the backups, updates, monitoring and edits yourself.

Refunds. We don't pro-rate part-months, but if we've charged you in error or something has gone wrong, tell us and we'll sort it out.

Price changes. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

The free digital audit

The audit is free and comes with no obligation. It's our opinion based on what we can see from the outside — it isn't a guarantee of results, and acting on it is your call.

Your responsibilities

Don't use this site to break the law, interfere with how it runs, or try to get at parts of it that aren't public. Don't submit anyone else's personal information through our forms without their say-so.

What we don't promise

We work hard on results but we can't guarantee them. Search rankings, traffic, leads and sales depend on things outside our control, including what Google and the platforms decide to do. The site and our services are provided "as is", without warranties beyond those the law won't let us exclude.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the work the claim relates to in the twelve months before it arose. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Links to other sites

Our portfolio links to client websites we don't control. We're not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts for San Bernardino County, California. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page at the time you engage us is the one that applies to that work.

Privacy

How we handle your information is covered in our Privacy Policy.
